FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CIVIL WEDDING SERVICE Kitley House is approved venue for the conducting of Civil Wedding Ceremonies both indoors and outside in our new Wedding Gazebo. Details of this service as well as current costs are available on application. MARQUEE WEDDINGS For those special events over 120 guests for the day we recommend a Marquee in the fountained garden. Full costs can be provided for this superb additional facility. However we can cater for up to 120 guests during the day in the Library and Bar Area, and up to 200 guests for an Evening Reception. EXCLUSIVE USE The entire hotel, restaurant and grounds can be sought for exclusive use, subject to all 19 bedrooms being booked. (A supplement will be charged if all 19 rooms are not taken for Saturday weddings from April-October.) ACCOMMODATION Our Bedrooms are in high demand throughout the year. However we do offer discounted accommodation prices for wedding guests but they are subject to availability on first come first served basis. Please ask for our current or proposed prices. A small deposit will secure the room. GREEN CONFETTI! The use of metal or plastic confetti is not permitted in the grounds. A charge will be made if additional cleaning is required. HELICOPTERS Helicopters can be arranged prior to advanced request. FIREWORKS/CHINESE LANTERNS Fireworks are now allowed once a weekend at most (on a first come first served basis!). However, as part of this arrangement we are now unable to accept Chinese Lanterns during weddings. These have caused significant damage to farm equipment and have spooked both sheep and horses which surround the house. In addition they are considered a fire hazard in this rural area. GRATUITIES Gratuities are much welcomed although they at your own discretion. All gratuities will be shared equally between members of staff on the basis of number of hours worked and not position... EVENING ENTERTAINMENT Music must end at 12.00am - midnight. BAR CLOSING TIMES (NEW LICENCING ARRANGEMENTS) The bar will now close at 02.00am for residents and for non residents, full licencing details available on request.
